Reading about the Super Bowl is driving me mad. Everyday something new pops up that I want to go to but this takes the cake. Queens of the Stone Age are playing after the game at Compuware for the Spin party. Can anyone get me in somehow? I'm a subscriber I should at least get an invite.
David Spade , Rob Schneider, Jon Heder will be on the Kimmel show that I'm going to next week. I think Alba should be on everyday but she will only be on on Friday, supposedly.
My 1st attempt at using my Crockpot went somewhat poorly. Apparently it is a good idea to follow the recipe. Anyways it was eventually somewhat saved but now I've learned that liquids (beer) don't really evaporate in slwo cookers so I should follow the directions.

queens of the stone age, spin magazine, etc.
dear bigmattcmu,I'm checking out your blog for the very first time and, even though I live in new york city and don't understand all the local detroit references, I'm really digging it.
man, you are 100% right that it just ain't fair that rock gods queens of the stone age will be playing a blistering private set right around the corner from you sunday night at the compuware/spin SUPER BALL party that everyone is talking about, but YOU, a big fan of the band WHO ACTUALLY SUBSCRIBES TO SPIN cannot swing an angle to get invited. the very least those spin suits in new york (who have no problem taking your $9.95 a year to subscribe...) could do is hook you up. man, I wish I could help.
come to think of it, maybe I can...
as the publisher of spin magazine, and being dutifully impressed by the fact that you know exactly how many times pete doherty has been arrested since december 8th, I hope you'll allow me to rectify this sorry situation by inviting you plus 1 to our little party with our friends from compuware. hell, maybe we'll even take your photo and throw it up on spin.com the next day as bigmattcmu, the notorious QOTSA-loving king of all detroit bloggers. and proud subscriber to spin magazine, of course.
I created the yahoo account bigmattcmusnewbestfriend@yahoo.com so you can email me back how I can contact you directly and privately, my assumption being that the millions of readers of your blog might want to join us as well, and may be tempted to overwhelm my official email box at spin, if I had given it out here, with their hopeless entreaties.
are spin magazine and bigmattcmu, our very favorite motor city subscriber, all good now?
see you sunday, I hope. jh
p.s. for the record, I actually DON'T wear a suit to the office.
